Elia Group wanted to highlight the potential of offshore wind energy production. The coast was the ideal location. We organised a captivating experience for a select group of stakeholders with a special event at the port of Ostend.

Network operator Elia Group invited specialists from various industries to Ostend for the first-ever Offshore Innovation Day.
We built a tent village in the port with enough space to host addresses and a debate on how innovation can blow wind in the sails of offshore wind production. We also provided stands to give participating companies the opportunity to present their latest offshore technologies and share experiences.

Our event teams were responsible for ensuring the success of the stakeholder event. The 150 attendees, including the bathing resort’s mayor Bart Tommelein, enjoyed the interesting presentations and demonstrations on land, in the sea and in the air. There was also time for a performance by Wim Opbrouck, who went down very well. Rest assured that the event was very well received by the folks at Elia Group and their guests.
