10 years ago, the first airplane of Chinese Hainan Airlines arrived in Brussels from Beijing. To celebrate this anniversary, 250 guests were invited last September to an ‘East meets West’ event.

Event communication from A to Z

The setting for the birthday party was the Tangla Hotel, part of the Hainan group. One of the venues of this five-star hotel in Brussels was stylishly revamped into an airport using decoration and image projections, turning the entrance into a terminal, whereas the dining room resembled an airplane cockpit. All hosts taking care of welcoming guests were dressed as stewardesses, the waiters as stewards and captains. The invitations by the way were designed to look like boarding passes.

Thoroughly enjoyed entertainment

In between courses, a ‘Lucky Draw’ added some fun to this corporate event. With this Chinese lottery, many great gifts were to be won, such as travel tickets, hotel vouchers and wellness packages. However, the real cherry on the birthday cake was the announcement that as from 2017, Hainan Airlines will also exploit a direct flight between Brussels and Shanghai. A great pinnacle to a fantastic event.

Decoration, entertainment, catering and communication reflected Hainan Airlines’ trusty biotope.
