De Halve Maan brewery in the heart of Bruges is home to such world-famous beers as Brugse Zot, Sportzot, Straffe Hendrik en Blanche De Bruges. A brand of such international stature clearly demands a website that reaches a global audience. We developed an all-new website in three languages to give visitors a taste of the rich family traditions and the authentic character of De Halve Maan.
Cheers!

Tradition in contemporary design

De Halve Maan is a bustling brewery that continues to honour its Bruges heritage. Something its new website makes clear. The corporate section and the subsites of the four in-house brands – Brugse Zot, Straffe Hendrik, Blanche De Bruges and Sportzot – were all drawn from the same barrel: a mix of inspiring visuals, powerful design and storytelling with flavour.

Concern for UX

Along with the content refresh, the new navigation structure boosts the website’s accessibility and highlights the international profile of the four beers like never before. As well as an extensive history, beer lovers also find a whole host of information about the brewery, sustainability aspects, up-to-date vacancies and the latest news from De Halve Maan.

All told, the new website is much more appealing to international audiences.

Compelling content brews up worldwide leads

Each of the beers now has its own website, always dressed in the same design and style as the De Halve Maan corporate website. Brugse Zot, Straffe Hendrik, Blanche De Bruges or Sportzot. We created an intuitive, user-friendly website for the various brands. Each one has a similar look and feel, only the copy and visuals are different. It was important that the corporate identity of De Halve Maan always shone through while recognizing the individual character (and story) of each beer brand to generate international leads.

The various beer-specific websites are based on the same template as the corporate site.

Integration with external e-commerce platforms

The navigation structure allows you to quickly jump to the brewery’s external online store at shop.halvemaan.be. On sale there: gift packs, bar material, clothes, glasses and more – including beer of course. A separate platform – reservations.halvemaan.be – has also been incorporated for brewery visits and restaurant bookings.
