For Assuralia, a hybrid event was the solution to still be able to connect with its audience in 2021. From our studio in Bruges, we were in control of this live-streamed and tightly directed digital event.

Live from the studio

The Professional Association of Insurance Companies traditionally holds its General Meeting at the beginning of the year. Afterwards, there is a reception for hundreds of guests from the sector, with numerous speeches and a networking moment with a snack and a drink.

However, a live event was not possible this year. That is why Assuralia chose to set up a digital event. We took up the challenge and organized a more than 1 hour hybrid event that was broadcast live from our studio in Bruges, without an audience.

Mix of speeches, reports and video calls

Journalist and VRT news anchor Hanne Decoutere did the live presentation of the '(In)sure(d) for the future' event. She had also pre-recorded several interviews with our video team with, among others, Heidi Delobelle, CEO of AG Insurance, Karin Lalieux, Minister of Pensions, Hilde Vernaillen, Chairman of Assuralia, and Pierre Wunsch, Governor of the National Bank of Belgium.

The reports, together with speeches in the studio and live video conversations, formed a varied (bilingual) program, smoothly directed and led by our event team.

Digital event communication

To announce the event, we had set up a whole digital communication flow.

  • Invitees received an invitation by e-mail.
  • Participants had to register online on a landing page.
  • On the website they could follow the event in real time on the day itself.
  • Afterwards everyone received a thank you email.

About 339 viewers followed Assuralia's first hybrid event live from home. A success.
